An acquaintance of mine from the icejerseys forum is selling an authentic Spirit red third jersey. I'm not sure how much he wants for it, but I'm going to say somewhere around $200.
Based on the design of the jersey (shoulder patches, etc) -- I am going to say that you could either leave it blank, or customize it with any player from the 2005-06, 2007-08, or 2008-09 teams.
The seller is a Blackhawks jersey collector who was misled into believing that Brandon Saad or Garrett Ross wore this red jersey when they played here, when in fact they both did not. His intention was to have it customized into either a Saad or Ross, but now he just wants to sell it and get most of his money back.
To customize it, the most authentic option would be to contact Cutting Edge Sports in Woburn, MA -- they were the Spirit team customizer at the time. They are the ones who did my Disco Stu jersey.
If you want a Spirit player who went on to the NHL, the options are:
T.J. Brodie #79 - Calgary
Jan Murzak #12 - Detroit
Chris Breen #6 - Calgary
Jordan Szwarz #14 (rookie) & #10 - Phoenix/Arizona
Tom Pyatt #27 - Montreal & Tampa Bay
Matt Corrente #13 - New Jersey
