From the OHL website today www.ontariohockeyleague.com/news/?id=1346This all stems from a hazing incident that occured on the team bus during the pre-season and the Steve Downie cross check to Akim Aliu's mouth during a practice a few weeks ago. seems like mantha is taking the full blame of this deal. i dont think its right, he didnt do it and the way im reading it all is that he didnt even know about any of it...so the players who did it get off , completely !! thats not right, they do know right from wrong. these guys have been away from thier parents for a few years now and it seems to me some are quite well mannered. they arent dumb so why put it all on moe???

Mantha has been fired by Windsor. Don't look now but since Moe was let go, the Spits have climbed to within 6 points of Saginaw. Saginaw does have 3 games in hand but for those to mean anything the Spirit have to win those games. You have to give kudos to the kids (yes, let's remember they are kids) remaining on that Windsor team. They could have easily gone right down the toilet but they have obviously sucked it up and battled back. |
