That game started out bad, but the Wings came back to win. I stopped watching after about the first 5 minutes of the 1st period. I missed seeing Whitney and Dandy's goals. I saw OT though. Foote is a donkey's behind. I couldn't believe that Granato was complaining since it was a blatant high stick. Same with the other call the refs made. I hate when the games are on ESPN because then I watch them without sound because I can't stand Thorne and Clement or Beavis and Butthead. They are so pro-Avs it makes me sick. Though it looks like some of the bad blood is still there between the two teams. Should be an interesting game on Valentine's Day at the Joe.

Thorne is ok, it's Clement that drives me mad! He is so anti-Wings - I have been saying that for years! How can he say that the Foote high stick wasn't a penalty?? Granted, the refs didn't call ANYTHING in the last 10 moinutes of the game, but when a guy is busted open with a high stick (Draper & Yzerman) you HAVE to call that! How can Clement say that was not a penalty & say that it shouldn't be called but the hold (takedown!) by Shanny should have been! The hold wasn't going to injure anyone and was just 1 in a series of about 4 calls that could have been made against BOTH teams! The high sticks HAD to be called! The only thing I agree with that Clement on is that Foote didn't high stick Yzerman on purpose & that Foote doesn't play like that. He plays hard, but he's not dirty. He's one of the only Av's I actually respect. Anyway, PLEASE, ESPN, do not let Bill Clement do any more Wings games! And don't replace him with John Davidson either! He's just as bad! I like watching him do his Rangers games, but the Wings, no way! He hates them!

It's funny because I was the same way about tThorne that you are about Clement. After last night's game I hate them both. I'd rather see Panger doing their games the rest of the season on ESPN. I hope Foote gets 5 games for that crap. Schneider got 2 for a non-intentional non-blood drawing high stick against his friend Glen Murray. This deserves at least 5.

I was thinking the same thing about a possible suspension. Also, what about the goaltender interference called on Holmstrom (his 3rd trip to the bin) where the Avalanche guy PUSHED him into the goalie? THAT was a penalty? Um... I think I missed the logic there. How was he supposed to "avoid the goalie at all costs" when he was shoved like that?

I hate to defend an Avalance player, but the Foote high stick was unintentional. I doubt that anything will come of it. I don't think there should be a suspension. The double minor (& the eventual loss of the game) was enough. It was just something that happens during a game.

Yes, but was it intentional when Schneider did it to his "good friend" and got a suspension? Did that guy even bleed?
I don't really care one way or another. (He's on my fantasy team and I need all the help I can get after being slaughtered this week.) But you gotta be consistant with the calls....
