That Randy guy from the Soo also did. I usually like his stuff, but he CLEARLY has a huge problem with Lazary, and keeps writing he’ll say more “when he can”. My translation of that is he’s a friend of the Porcos, and I would certainly understand if his parents werent overly thrilled with how things are going. (Disclaimer: No inside knowledge here. Simply a guess) Before the fun police on Spirit Fan Nation shut a post down regarding Porco, I just made an offhand comment about how odd it was that article and OHL Insiders tweet about a trade came out within minutes of each other. Most likely someone from Porcos camp was leaking that info to get Saginaw to make a move. Randy replied and say his information was "right from the horses mouth" which is exactly what I was implying. If Nick wants out and I'm Saginaw hes on the first bus back to SSM till a deal is reached. He has a no trade clause, so its going to to be hard for Saginaw to get full value, especially now this stunt of announcing the trade request is out there. Totally agree...if a player is demanding a trade and essentially refusing to play for your team you sit him because if he's injured he's of no value to anyone. The no-trade clauses are really hurting the small market teams because Porco could waive his clause for whatever team he wants to go to. I can see the Spirit playing hardball with him...that's really the only way to get the trade that they want. They should give him three choices...(1) play for us (2) Completely waive your no-trade or (3) Enjoy sitting out at home. Porco has a lot of speed and a decent amount of skill but it's not like he's playing a vital role for us that we can't afford to play hardball with him. He'll want to go to a contender but it could be a lower team that is willing to offer more and we need to maximize trade value. |

This is not a new request. I posted awhile ago that there was a trade that was suppose to happen with the Soo after NHL camps conclude. Obviously that didn’t happen. Rumor then had Porco along with one other player and picks heading north.

Some kids come back from their first NHL mini camp full of self importance. They fail to truly see where they stand up against others at that camp, all they feel is that they are THERE. The thought of a future ECHL career, or less, is foreign to them. Add to it, the parents and others feeding into the falsity that the NHL is one step away. It must be squashed! At this point son,...you are NOT that good!

Rumor then had Porco along with one other player and picks heading north. Must have been for Barrett Hayton lol. Only player on the Soo worth 2 players plus picks. Seeing as hes still in Arizona, I think that explains why that was a no go. |

Yes I am well aware of that, but his camp only exacerbates the problem. He feels he was stiffed last year on PP minutes and back from camp, full of himself, only adds to it. I see a lot of heat about Porco’s attitude, but not much light. I have never heard anything bad about his attitude or his work ethic before now. So unless you have some solid, indisputable evidence that what you’re saying is true (and are willing to share it), it would probably be better left unsaid.

I mean I assume you are talking more to Swoopster than me, but having Russon confirm that Porco's camp directly gave him the information that he was requesting a trade and for the article/OHLInsiders post to come out tells me everything I need to know. Last thing Saginaw needed was the family leaking this and tanking Nicks trade value. |

OK now throw me under the bus...  My point is valid. Porco is a #1 pick being replaced on the lead power play by the new #1 pick. He has just come back from a NHL camp and feels he is being dissed. Jezz spiritfan8, never get twirked when somebody with less seniority takes your role? It doesn't have to be evidenced...its human nature. He's a young kid riding a dream and its not happening at the moment. You can see it in his game, head down, not looking for teammates, and trying to rush end to end. If you hear nothing about Porco's attitude, then it is evidenced in his play, or do I have to shine a light on that.  |

I got to wonder what the return would be for Porco and Lennox together. Can you remind me why we're trading Lennox? I'm kind of curious why people are down on Lennox. The kid hasn't turned 17 years old yet and has only played in 31 total OHL games. He came into a pressure cooker in the playoffs last year and I think he played great under come crazy circumstances. And I 100% believe that if Lennox does not replace Provsvetov in Game 2 against Guelph, Saginaw does not win that game. |

But it’s been my experience on this board that people have a lot to say about situations and their inside knowledge of them.. (This is NOT aimed at anyone—it’s simply a general statement). My position is not to believe anything until I see it confirmed by a Spirit source. If that puts me out of the loop, I can live with it. I also said I hadnt hear anything “before now”. Probably should have clarified that “now” is the last few months. No matter our take, this is not a good situation. |

Lennox was rumored to want to go back to Canada. Porco was rumored to want to leave Saginaw. I’m rumored to want to know what a packaged deal would net for those two. The truth is I’m a right wing sniper so no I won’t play goal.
