Joey posted on Instagram that his mother passed away after a long battle with illness. He's missed a couple games due to this over the past couple of years but he said he'll be in the booth tonight which will be an honor to his mother. In my opinion we are privileged to have Joey broadcasting our games... He is a true professional, knowledgeable of the game and is a pleasure to listen to. My prayers go out to his family during this undoubtedly trying time.
