It's a battle for first place tonight with the Spitfires, or as Don Perry used to say, it's a four pointer. Let's hope the boys come out on fire after the Christmas break.

Saginaw wins 4-1 and takes first place all by themselves. Cole Perfetti passing up an empty net goal and passing it to Damien Giroux for the goal was a pretty classy move.

Other than the first 4 minutes or so I thought we played a nice, clean game. And holy backhand, Mason Millman.
Windsor still has three games in hand so this was an important victory.

Windsor played last night—they’d had a chance to get their legs back, and it showed in the first period. After that, the Spirit did fine.
Dont know who the stars were tonight, but my vote for first star would be for Medina. He was the only reason the game was as close as it was. Doesnt look like the Spits are missing a beat without Pironnen.
That breakaway was the fastest I’ve ever seen Millman skate.

Earlier in the game Damien sent a sweet pass to Cole for the easy goal. I think Cole was just returning the favor. Cole's skill level is off the charts, but to show that kind of character at his age is just amazing.

I get to watch the action pretty closely, although it's generally through about a half-inch opening in my camera, but you can see when some of these guys possess things the others don't. Not to put any of the other players down, but Cole is one of those players. He's impressive. Great hockey sense. His career will be fun to watch.
