I know it’s been a big day, but no GDT?? Really?

Big W for the Spirit tonight, but a potentially very costly one as Coskey appeared to have been injured by an (uncalled, of course) knee on knee hit. (Props to Ilya Solovoyov for standing up to Piercey) DJ Busdeker also took a similar hit. He returned to the ice briefly. Have to wait til tomorrow night to see how much damage was done.
This overshadowed an eye-popping debut for Ryan Suzuki, who arrived in Flint less than an hour before puck drop. All he did was play 18 minutes and contribute 2 apples to a 6 point night with his new linemates the Coles.
2 goals for Damien Giroux, who was on the third line and I’m sure you wont hear him say boo about it. All this guy wants to do is win, and he doesnt seem to care much where he plays as long as that happens.
Flint’s game plan isnt tough to figure out. They’ve got skill, but not as much depth as they’d like, so their objective is clearly to eliminate the other team’s depth. And if they’re losing, look out. Much like a certain green, gold and white team in the MidWest Division.....

Hopefully the fact that Coskey returned to the bench means it's not too serious. Guess we'll see if there's a game tonight. Roads are pretty nasty already.

Yea your right it is getting really bad. I originally had another event tonight and was glad it was cancelled so I could go to the game. But now I’m thinking I’m just going to stay home and listen to the game. I doubt they play tonight.

Buzzy played additional shifts last night after his hit and Coskey was skating around a couple times, so that's a good sign. We shall see. Lennox also was hurt at one point but finished the game.

FWIW, there WAS a penalty on the Coskey hit — Piercey got 2 for kneeing and a 10-minute misconduct in addition to the five for fighting. That being said, it was a dirty hit and should have been more.

It is better to be tied or have a one-goal game with Flint than it is to be way ahead late in the game, as it does appear they start to goon it up when the game gets out of reach.
