Perfetti is a top 5 talent. I just don't see him dropping to 8th, or 10th. Sounds like these three guys grade by size. Smart GMs don't do that.

It isnt all size. His speed needs to improve, something Perfetti himsrlf has agreed with on numerous occasions.

I think Perfetti is certainly top 5 in terms of talent but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if he dips into the 6-8 range. To me, Ottawa is a wild card here as they could potentially have two picks in the top 7 or 8. I could see them, or someone else, going slightly off the board and taking Askarov or Drysdale sooner, based on team needs. A lot can (and probably will) change, though.

I so much agree with the team need part. It’s telling that after LaFreniere, and to a not-quite-so-large extent Byfield, predictions for draft order are all over the place.

Last two (three)(four just to give RESECT) posters are spot on.. #1 is clear cut, them it’s a need. Say Detroit screws this up and drafts 2nd or later? do they need a big power forward (prob not that got one) or point man in defense(I think one of our boys has that locked up) Maybe they go with a 3 zone winger/center. It’s way to early to try and figure where teams finish and their needs.. This time last year the Blues were looking at lottery pick. Time will tell.
