Spirit traveled to the Soo to face the Hounds. The Soo debuted their new goalie, import Nick Malik who joined the team this week.
Saginaw gets a big road win, 5-2, in a game that was much closer than the score indicates. Saginaw scored 2 empty-net goals to salt it away. Ryan Suzuki had 4 points, scoring 3 goals and adding an assist. Cole Perfetti continued his torrid pace, adding 3 more points (1 goal, 2 assists).
Per Joey Battaino, this is the 6th consecutive game Saginaw has scored 5 or more goals.
The Spirit and Hounds meet again on Saturday night in Saginaw, the 2nd game of a 3-in-3 weekend for Saginaw (Sunday @ Windsor).

Nice road win! Glad to see only 2 goals against. Let’s hope that trend continues.

Nice road win! Glad to see only 2 goals against. Let’s hope that trend continues. And in watching the highlights both goals were kind of flukey.
