A chance for the Spirit to say 'hello' to old teammates Nicholas Porco, Ian Lemieux, Ethan Cardwell, and Connor Punnett.
Two things, does it seem like the Spirit trade with the Barrie franchise more than any other? I can recall when we traded TJ Brodie and Nick Crawford for Ryan O'Connor and Michael Sgarbossa a decade ago. And we did two trades with them this year.
Secondly, will we see a fight amongst old teammates? I feel this happens more often than just random players blowing off steam. Perhaps I notice it more because I am surprised to hear former teammates go at each other. Or else it was a grudge that now can be settled on the ice? I guess we will see/hear. Granted, with the low limit for fights, it might not happen anyway.

Anyone out there able to watch or listen to this game? Neither WSGW station seems to be broadcasting it, and the game does not show up on the OHL Livestream app as available to purchase/watch.

Joey tweeted earlier today that there wouldn't be any TV coverage and the Colts weren't broadcasting the game on the radio. That left the Spirit providing the only broadcast of the game.

I briefly listened on 100.5 and it sounded like they were playing on the bottom of the ocean.
EDIT: Former Spirit Ethan Cardwell wins it for Barrie in OT, 6-5.

Joey stated repeatedly that the problem was on the Barrie end (not the first time something strange like that has happened in Barrie) and he was calling the game on his cell phone.

Back to our old defense and power play woes. Ofer on the power play with 2 short handed goals given up. Yes, I’m counting the Barrie penalty shot goal because it happened while shorthanded. Should not lose a game scoring 5 goals. Blew an early 2-0 lead and blew a 1 goal lead after 2 periods. Not the stuff championship teams are made of.

Meanwhile Flint takes over 1st in the West Division with a 4-0 win at Niagara. That’s 14 wins in a row, 10 on the road. They are better than Saginaw right now even though the Spirit are ahead 4-3 in the season series. Oh, North Bay beat Ottawa and have been playing better lately so that game on Sunday doesn’t look like the cakewalk people may have expected. Remember Kingston a few weeks ago?

They are better than Saginaw right now even though the Spirit are ahead 4-3 in the season series. Oh, Brampton beat Ottawa and have been playing better lately so that game on Sunday doesn’t look like the cakewalk people may have expected. Remember Kingston a few weeks ago? Brampton?
