I guess that makes our deadline deal that much better then all the other teams. Sad that the season is over but it’s the right thing to do.
Crazy that there will be no sports on TV for the next month or so..
Go Hawks this weekend..

If the Hawks you are referring to is Saginaw Heritage hockey, MHSAA cancelled all winter and springs sports so no hockey this weekend. 😢😢

Yea I was with some of the heritage team tonight. What a kick in the Nutz for the seniors.. Two days before the finals after working so hard all year. Feel really really bad for those kids.

I was selfishly hoping the MHSAA would hold on til the weekend. Could have at least finished the boys basketball districts, girls basketball regionals, and the hockey/swimming finals. But I certainly don't blame them. Hopefully they'll be able to finish at some point.

That was their last shot at winning a state championship.

The way thing is going I’ll just be happy to be working in 2 weeks. I’m sure if they do anything at all it will be short and sweet. But at this point I’m not sure why they would.

My brother plays for Heritage so I was really bummed that he didn't get to finish his season. I don't know how to say this without sounding super selfish, but if only all this "activity" could have just waited three days or so - it would have been one last big hurrah before this sports blackout we have to encounter.
With that said, I don't think the CHL will resume their season. The NHL may try to salvage some type of playoffs (maybe best of 5's, going right into playoffs?). I want to be as optimistic as anyone, but given the timing of this, and ~ a 2 month blackout period - I don't see any of the leagues trying to run into the summer. I'd love it. But it's not going to happen.

Based on some press releases this morning, it sounds like the NHL's best-case scenario is to have mini-training camps at the end of April/early May prior to resuming the season. Who knows if the CHL will wait that long.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he will close his country's border to non-citizens amid pandemic. Based on this news I'm not sure we will see anymore hockey this season. I hope not, but the clock is ticking.

Americans are exempt in this ban. Just thinking aloud, would that mean that if they did restart it that Ilya would only be able to play home games? Isn't that what happened to Ivan last year...he could only play in Canada I believe and not the US at the beginning of the season?
