I just read on the HF Boards that Disco Stu (Guy Payne) has passed away. You're not going to find anyone out there more passionate about the Spirit or the OHL in general. While I never attended them, the old NOOF Message Boards had get togethers and it's very touching to see the remembrances posted on those pages because a lot of friendships were created through that board and those events. Even though these boards are anonymous, many of us have been on here for a long time and we know each other's posting styles and feel like we know one another. Guy/Disco was always one of the good ones and would always rather create an OHL friend rather than an enemy. It shows in the pictures on the Twitter thread and it's an incredibly sad day when we lose one of our own especially at such a young age. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to bpfox and their entire family in this really difficult time. memorials.snowfuneralhome.net/guy-joseph-payne/4774917/index.php

I think I saw him at the home opener a few weeks ago. Incredibly sad. His jersey always stood out among all the others in the crowd. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Disco Stu was laid to rest today. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this most difficult time. I would especially like to thank Craig Goslin and Kay Pankow for taking the time to visit with us at the funeral home. I would also like to thank Richard Garber for his visit today at church and spending time with us. I don't think many team owners would take the time to honor a fan that way. As a grieving dad, I can tell you it was pretty special.
