A sparse crowd saw a very good game. In a battle of Number 1 PK vs Number 1 PP, the Spirit held the Soo PP off the board completely. Spirit out worked and outhustled the Hounds all night long, and the Dog Boys were showing a lot of frustration by the end of the game. And a big cheer for Andrew Oke, the first star, who showed he has the short memory a goalie needs by playing his best game as a Spirit. The team owed him one after Saturday night, but he took care of business on his end just fine. Final 4-1.

Good to see the Hislop on the back end and fitting in. Andrew Oke was on fire! Look forward to seeing him in goal for the Spirit for the next few years.

That was easily the best I've seen the Spirit play this year...came out and skated hard and forechecked better than I've seen them all year. They had a few easy goals (easy to me) miss or be miraculously saved and with the Soo firepower I thought it was going to bite them in the third. Oke played great on short notice and I hate to say it but the refs actually helped us out quite a bit. We got a borderline instigator call against the Soo on T-Bone's fight (huge props to T-Bone for answering the challenge!) and there was a scrum situation at one point and they only took the Soo player.

Do we know “why” Oke was playing with short notice?

Do we know “why” Oke was playing with short notice? Just that Lennox was injured in warmups per the team. They recalled Fullerton from JR A as well today.
