Saginaw returns from the Christmas break with a road matchup with the Firebirds. According to social media, Saginaw is playing tonight's game with only 4 D - Mintyukov, Mancini, Smith, and Forgione. Also, T-Bone Codd remains out.
Oke v Cavallin in net (Lennox was listed as starter but Oke is actually starting).
This is the 1st of 3 games in the next 4 days. With only 4 D, hopefully everybody holds up.

Wait, so you can still get sick with something other than covid??? I kid, of course...hope he gets better soon. Oke played GREAT last night but Lennox is still the #1 guy so hope he's back soon.

I have heard through the grapevine that Jovanovic is supposed to be back at some point this year. That was a surprise to me as I thought since he didn't ever play that he may decide to bug out of the OHL and go back to his NCAA commitment (ND I think). Maybe once he signed his OHL deal he burned that bridge even though he hasn't played but it sounded (at least what this person said to me) like he would appear at some point. While we could certainly use some help on the back end, I'm more looking forward to when Christy is able to play...sounds like he has the ability to score (at least in theory) and that's something we drastically need so hopefully he's healthy soon.

Not sure how things may have changed with Canadian covid restrictions but on Twitter Christy's mom had posted they were going to come to Saginaw friday. I think his original return to play timeline was somewhere end of February so not to fair off to get back in shape and ready to roll when healed |
