Saginaw has traded captain Camaryn Baber to the London Knights in exchange for a 4th round draft pick in 2025 and a conditional 6th round pick in 2025.
Good trade IMO. Getting a 4th is good return for a role playing OA on a better team. Saginaw's forward depth (14 after this deal) should be able to compensate for his production.
And, with a young team, opportunities need to be there for players to show that they can be a part of the future. Experience now, both good and bad, will help next year and beyond.
The condition on the 6th round pick is the completion of the OHL playoffs.

I don't like this trade... With such a young team you need to have some toughness to allow these young players to play. Baber brought that and also seemed like he brought a hard work ethic as a leader. Not sure who that role goes to now that he's gone.
Hopefully DD is out there looking for an OA replacement that will bring some toughness to this team because otherwise even Flint will push us around.
I love the future outlook for this team but we can't totally ignore the present.
Will be interesting to see if anything else happens (namely Lennox) especially with Oke playing really strong back to back games.

I don’t like it at all….expected him to be moved but really thought we could have got a prospect or a 2nd/3rd……not two basic picks 3 years from now
