I guess our goalies don't like that bus ride to the Soo...we played 4 home and 4 away... At home we averaged 1.25 goals against and up in the soo we averaged 7.25 goals against... Quite a difference!

For some reason, the Soo is a team Saginaw actually played well against at home.

I wouldn’t place all of the blame on the goaltenders. This team has been a neutral zone turnover machine and has given up far too many odd man rushes this season.

I actually considered going to the Soo on Friday now that the border restrictions have eased somewhat, but decided to save it for next season. Only a few games left, but the team has played better as of late (other than Friday, I guess). Credit to them for not packing it in for the year.

That being said, it wouldn't hurt to tank the rest of the way. They're three points behind Niagara in last place overall right now and there are three kids who have applied for exceptional status for the 2022 OHL draft. Now, there's no guarantee that one of them will be granted that status, but Ryan Roobroeck probably has the best chance of making it. It'd sure be nice to take him if he is approved. I totally agree BP although I will choose to say that instead of luck that it's rigged against us. Or, we will get the #1 pick and the top player will say that he's not reporting to us. Don't forget everyone that we also have a second 1st rounder (pick #19) that we get this year for Adam fantili not reporting and trading his rights to North Bay... Hopefully even if they're raw that we get some speed with those two picks... We desperately need to get faster. |

I agree that it figures this would be the year that the Spirit should get the #1 pick and they will end up at #4. That said: our last pick at #4 didnt work out too badly.
