Saginaw gets a 3-2 overtime win off a beautiful Mitchell Smith goal 22 seconds into OT Thursday night to get two points to start their three-in-three.
Misa and Loukus scored the Spirit's two goals in the second period. Windsor did outshoot the Spirit 35-17 in this one.
Saginaw travels to London tomorrow night to face the Knights.

It would appear that the Spirit have been working on their defense which is helping them to wins like this. I see that Misa and a Windsor player got matching roughing calls. Did the Spits player make a run at Misa or was just in the heat of the battle?

Shots were 35-17 spits and there was chance after chance for them that Lennox turned away... He's been playing great so far this year. Misa got hit by Johnston along boards after a pass and Misa kinda took him down a little and they were both pushing and shoving a bit... Nothing too crazy.

It was stated on another site that 16 or 17 of Spits shots taken were from the point. I'll take that any day over the odd-man rushes that were occurring in the first few games.

The West Division is looking tough and competitive early on this year. The Midwest...not so much. Windsor has yet to lose a game in regulation thus far. Lennox was very sharp last night. Back-to-back against London coming up, who seem to be having a down year, so hopefully we can keep the momentum going.
