Very well deserved... He struggled through a miserable season last year and while his numbers aren't great this year anyone who has watched him play this year knows how good of a season he's having.

The numbers are a reflection of the team playing in front of him. If there was a stat for odd man rushes and break aways against, I’ll bet Saginaw would lead the league.

Very happy for Tristan, especially considering he lost a lot of development time due to the pandemic. Well deserved.

I would not want to be a goalie in our system and I give a lot of credit to Lennox and Oke for what they go through night in and night out. There's a reason that Oke has made the World Jrs twice despite his numbers in Saginaw and there's a reason that Lennox was drafted and signed by the Isles. That said, our system is very attractive to offensive players and when high-end players with no-trade clauses are having some say in where they go next year, Saginaw is going to be high on their list.

Laz doesn't believe in disciplined two way hockey, and that's what you get here. For the life of me I don't know why, you would think NHL scouts would be looking for players who could play off the puck as well. All 5 men up, nobody back, no hitting and nobody accountable... except the goalie. I have to hand it to the Spirit goalies who are often left to fend for themselves. Next year we will attract more one-way players looking to put up points in this rodeo offense. The last high end two way player we picked up in trade was in 2019 with Ryan McLeod. Tye Felhaber would have loved this system

A 59-save shutout for Lennox tonight. My goodness.

Tye Felhaber would have loved this system I mean he’s produced two top ten picks. Numerous other draft picks. Helped Haight get his game back to the point he earned a contract. Scouts must be a little ok with what he’s doing. Parekh is gonna be another first rounder developed by him. How many were we producing before Laz?

A 59-save shutout for Lennox tonight. My goodness. Pretty amazing... I didn't watch the game but I may watch it tonight to see the quality of shots/saves because I'm guessing the highlights don't do it justice.

Apparently you never look up at Wendler and see names of players who have gone on to play professional hockey. But... let's take a look at the top 4 players in games played thus far in the NHL only.
Brandon Saad 760Games 224 Goals 219 Assists 443 Points coach Todd Watson
Vincent Trocheck 617 Games 169 Goals 258 Assists 427 Points coach Watson and Kisel
Filip Hronek 305 Games 30 Goals 126 Assists 156 Points coach Spencer Carberry
T.J. Brodie 812 Games 55 Goals 263 Assists 318 Points coach Todd Watson
Mitchell Stephens coach Specer Carberry
So the next time you post and talk in great terms of present players being produced, there is one in the NHL at this moment, Cole Perfetti. Yes we are drafting more players then in the past, will there be more... hope so, but none of the last crop are playing in the NHL. A future is just a dream, ask Bode Wilde, and I also said way back that Zayne Parekh will the next Filip Hronek.

To be fair, it’s also a little early to be evaluating Laz's success at producing NHL players compared to players who have been out of our system for a decade or more. Your point is valid, but it’s not apples to apples yet either.

1. The answer was 1. Matt Corrente was the only first rounder before Laz came in. How many times did we make the WCF before Laz? Zero. We were mediocre to straight up terrible. People have short memories apparently.

People have short memories apparently. His argument is wild to me. Of course noone has played as many NHL games as guys on his list. Laz has only had 3 years of players leave, not even one draft cycle. He's already coached 17 players that have went on to play professional hockey games even more to Usports. That's not counting Lennox, Haight, Minty, Misa, Parekh, Oke, Matyas, and maybe a few others who are either already signed to play pro or will likely play pro from his 4th team. Name one other coach in Saginaw history that can say they coached over different 20 professional players that graduated over a 4 year period?

Chris Lazary has nothing to do with Bode Wilde’s self-inflicted career destruction. And since Hronek is a pretty solid top 4 guy, I’m unclear if you’re praising Parekh or criticizing him.
