Despite the trade, he'll always be a Spirit player in my book much like Trocheck who was also traded. He is one of my favorite all-time players and while I was saddened to see him traded, I firmly believe that it was the right move for the franchise and with the win against Flint and the awarding of the Memorial Cup, it strengthens my belief. Watching him during the skate with the team event, you could see how much he was loved by his Spirit teammates and they obviously were hurt by the trade but I'm sure they were all happy that he received this much-deserved award.
