The 2023 Memorial Cup tournament opens tonight with the host Kamloops Blazers facing off against Patrick Roy’s QMJHL champion Quebec Remparts. The game will be televised starting at 9:00 pm EDT on the NHL Network.

Peterborough vs. the Seattle Thunderbirds tonight. A lot of people seem to think Seattle is the heavy favorite this year. They feature 5 NHL first round draft picks and, for the most part, breezed through the WHL Playoffs. Looking forward to seeing how the Petes match up with them.

Seattle Thunderbirds defeat the Peterborough Petes 6-3 in game 2 of the round robin. Petes are back in action tomorrow against the host Kamloops Blazers at 6:00 pm EDT. Tomorrow’s loser is looking at an early exit from the tournament.

Kamloops absolutely destroyed Peterborough 10-2 in game 3 of the round robin Sunday afternoon. Quebec faces Seattle in game 4 of the round Robin on Monday night at 9:00 pm EDT. Winner of that game has the inside track to earning a bye straight through to the championship game.

Quebec defeats Seattle 3-1 to automatically advance to the Memorial Cup championship game next Sunday. They're playing Peterborough tonight in a meaningless game for them, but the Petes need to win to force the tie-breaker game. If Quebec wins, Seattle and Kamloops will play in the semifinal game.

Peterborough forces the tie breaker game on Thursday with a 4-2 win over Quebec. Quebec has 4 days off until the final on Sunday. The Petes will face the loser of tomorrow night’s final round robin game between Kamloops and Seattle in the tie breaker game. The winner advances to the semi final on Friday.
