The Spirit will start the season on Friday, September 29 with a road game at Kitchener. Home opener will be the following night, Saturday, September 30 against Sarnia. Full schedule is out on Tuesday.

No weekend home games against Flint (3 Wednesday and 1 Thursday). But Flint gets a Saturday, Sunday, and Thanksgiving eve at home against Saginaw. The other game at Flint is a Wednesday.
March will be tough! Only 3 home games and 8 road games.

Yeah, traditionally Flint hosts on Thanksgiving Eve, but it'd be nice to not have all those Wednesday games against them. My guess is the Spirit brass are okay with it because Flint would likely bring more fans on a Wednesday night than say the Soo or Sarnia.
Don't remember ever playing a road game at Oshawa that wasn't on a Sunday

Totally agree...those Wednesday games are totally dead if it's not Flint so probably a good thing. Will be a totally different Flint team without Piercy and Lombardi...Giroux will probably still be there but he's the last holdover. |
