Probably don't need a separate thread for each but IT'S GAMEDAY!!!
The games are streaming on Erie's Facebook page... It will be interesting to see who plays and who doesn't in these first couple of games... Guessing we'll see the regulars play since many of them will be off at NHL camps for the next round of preseason games.
After watching Hache and others hit our own players at camp it will be nice to see us be able to be physical with other teams... Going to be a nice change from the last two years.

Saginaw dropped both preseason games over the weekend, losing to Brantford 4-2 and then to Erie 5-3. Haight, Sapovaliv, Misa, and Lokus did not play in either game, while Parekh and Hache only appeared in the second game. Oke played in the first game as well. So apparently this weekend was about giving younger players a look, although Codd did have two goals in the first game, so that's nice to see.
Following the two games, Carson Harmer and Graydon Jones were reassigned to the GOJHL.

Saginaw ended up going 0-4 in the preseason, losing 10-6 and 5-4 to the Soo over the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Red Wings have released Dean Loukus and Nic Sima from their amateur tryouts today.

I don't see Codd listed on the Spirit roster... I'm guessing because he's an OA that he's "officially" part of Anaheim until they sign him or release him since he's a free agent. |

Codd signed with the San Diego Gulls (Ducks' AHL affiliate), so I guess that solves the OA issue.
