After last nights 6-4 loss at Oshawa, boys start a little slow again and trail 2-1 in Mississauga after 1 period.
Anyone listen to the pregame show on the radio this afternoon? Lazary is pissed! Not happy with shot selection and decision making in the offensive zone. Not happy with the lack of effort and lack of urgency to start games.

Disappointing weekend! 40+ shots on goal in both games and lose both games. Not good enough for a team where the coach and GM have both been quoted as saying they want to earn their Memorial Cup spot with an OHL Championship.
Gave up 4 goals on 30 shots (not counting the 2 empty net goals) against Oshawa last night. Gave up 4 goals on only 21 shots this afternoon against Mississauga. Just not good enough for a team that aspires to win an OHL championship.

I was at both games, and one thing I'll say is Mcnamarra cannot buy himself a goal. I thought he was all over the ice, he has incredible speed - but is just perpetually snake bitten.
Frusturating to lose both games, I don't think they played bad - in all of Saginaw's losses this year, they've been tied late into the third period (Kitchener, Oshawa, Mississauga) - just need a little bit less penalties.
I also can't stress enough what not having misa QB'ing the offense can do. Not having him at the end of Oshawa and for the Mississauga game hurt.
Hopefully we get back into the W column on Saturday, and then see how we fare against London on Sunday.

Agree on McNamara. He's had so many great chances as far back as the home preseason game. He's playing really well, but just can't seem to sink it. The effort is going to pay off though, and once he gets one, I think things will open up for him.

I said the Flint home game last weekend was a trap game. Here comes a bigger trap game at Windsor against arguably the worst team in the league right now. Look at Windsor’s recent results. Hope they don’t look past Saturday’s game at Windsor with the 1st game of the season at home against London on Sunday.

I think the team in general is just snake-bit right now. Perhaps the expectations are extremely high and they're feeling the pressure. I didn't catch the game in Missy this past weekend but it sounded like we played well enough. The opening night game at Kitchener was tough because I thought we thoroughly dominated for a majority of it and didn't get rewarded. I will say coming into this year, with all the talent that was returning, I was/am nervous that we would flop like Flint did last year. Still a long way to go, but just keep working and the results will eventually come. A good weekend coming up should go a long way.

There's so much pressure on this team. And it's why you play the games — anything can happen. Expectations are high, for sure. It's still way early though. The year we almost made it to the championship we weren't on the radar at the beginning of the season. It's very, very early, and even the makeup of this team could change a lot between now and March.

Didnt take long for your last sentence to become reality!! Dang, it's almost like I've been around for a while, huh? lol. Spirit certainly aren't reinventing the wheel, nor are they straying from the plan. So far it continues to pay off.
