Well, the McNamara trade is something that I've predicted since the offseason and I'm very pleased that we got a 3rd, 3rd, and 4th for him. Those can get spun back around for other players for sure. McNamara just never produced in our system and I wish him the best in Kingston...hopefully he gets it figured out.
Then, a big (in Division) move sending Mancini, Zhugin 2nd, 2nd, 4th to Windosor for Christopolous and Dinocio and a 6th.
I love this move but I'm going to miss Zhugin...I thought he brought a lot to the team but Dionocio must have been someone they are targeting and since he's an Import Pick, Zhugin was out because we're not getting rid of Sapo. Christopolous scored 49 goals last year which is 22 more than anyone on our team last year had. In a go-for-it year, your OA's need to produce and that's what we're getting with him.
While I'm sad to see Mancini go, his constant penalties wore on me and he just never played the physical game that his size said he should do. I'm looking forward to seeing what this new blood does in a Spirit uniform and I'm guessing we'll see them in action tomorrow night.

Well said, I echo all your sentiments. We are better today than we were yesterday, and I'm happy were getting a large boost to offense and defense.

Love the trade given Saginaw is all in going for an OHL title. Pay attention to Owen Sound tonight and see if Colby Barlow gets scratched for the 3rd game in a row.

Great return for McNamara. Helps offset the Ethan Hay deal a little bit. Really hope a change of scenery will help him.
I like the deal with Windsor. A tough trade to make but it was necessary. Christopolous is the type of OA a championship team needs, and he should put up big numbers in our system. I feel bad for Mancini. Gave his heart and soul to the team for a long time and gets traded during a year such as this. But that's part of the business.
Still have a lot of assets to do more. Barlow? Owen Beck in Peterborough? Roman Schmidt in Kitchener?

Well no Colby Barlow on the scorers sheet for tonight. Yep! Scratched for the 3rd straight game. C’mon Dave Drinkill make this happen. Aiden Young and/or Jacob Cloutier and picks for Barlow.

He’s out with an injury. Day to day. Can’t trade Clouthier this year and can’t trade Young until the window opens up near the deadline. Owen Sound would hold onto him as long as they can any how. If they’re anywhere near striking distance of 4th, I doubt they sell off.

Agree with your assessment on him given that fact.

Tough night for Mancini and Zhugin in their debut with Windsor tonight. Mancini with 2 hooking penalties and Owen sound scored on both power plays... I know some on the Windsor board said Dionocio can be a liability on defense but as long as he doesn't clutch and grab I'll take it.

I was hoping we would pick up a more top notch defensive defenceman. but good trade nonethess if Christo can pick it up again. Remember there is only 1 puck if heaven forbid Parekh and Dionocio are on the ice together...

One name that would be a sneaky good pick up, if we’re not worried about left or right shot, is Tnias Mathurin from North Bay. One of the best defense d men in the league. Great size at 6 3. Don’t think he would be super expensive. Glavin and a couple 3rds should suffice. Would be a case of getting the right player over a flashy pick up.

I would love to see an OA swap with Kitchener to get Midland native Roman Schmidt. Would be a feel-good story with him returning to the area to play for the Memorial Cup and we get a big shut-down defenseman. Kitchener seems like they're in exactly the same spot that we were last year...they are not supposed to be going for it this year but they're at the top of the league. That said, all of their players are old and most will not be back next year so either they need to load up and go for a title (which I'm not sure they have the picks for) or they need to trade some of their pieces and get some picks. I would think you could get Schmidt for Loukus, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and then still have plenty of picks/assets to get another forward.
