Did not know Roman Schmidt was from Midland. I didn't either until I clicked on his profile, I don't remember seeing any articles locally about the NHL draft or anything. I think he played for the USNDTP. |

An interesting trade yesterday as Saginaw acquired the rights to Luca Del Bel Belluz from Sarnia for a conditional 15th round draft pick. He's currently playing with Cleveland in the AHL, with 5 points in 7 games played. I believe he's been a healthy scratch a few times. I'd probably give it a 10-15% chance he actually gets sent here, but something to keep an eye on in regards to the OA trade deadline in a couple of months.
