New faces in the lineup tonight against Erie...will be interesting to see how the pairings go. Based on the last game I can see:
Misa - Haight - Christopolous
Willis - Sapovaliv - Mangone
Young - Hay - Loukus
Gervais - Storch - Moore
Dionocio - Guo (when Guo is back) tonight it will be Forgione
Hache - Parekh
Glavin - Bishop
I see Glavin/Forgione fighting for that 6th spot in the lineup most nights. I still think we're trading for one more big defenseman and that probably means Glavin is getting moved even though I think he's improved a ton since last year.

Looks like I nailed the forwards with the exception of Storch who it looks like will be scratched and all defensemen will be dressed tonight...defensive pairings are:
Forgione/Zayne
Dionocio/Guo (nailed this one)
Hache/Bishop
Glavin

I really hope we win tonight (and tomorrow), otherwise social media is going to be insufferable for the next week.
I’m really excited - two very beatable teams this week, and looking forward to seeing the new pieces.
How about a first goal from Christopolous tonight!

Andrew Oke steals one for the Spirit tonight. Absolutely...really surprised that we couldn't generate a lot of offense... Team actually looked really slow last night but maybe it was the shaky camera. If you ignore Okes first game back from injury his numbers are dang near best in the league... Hopefully he keeps it up! |

Oke definitely saved our bacon. But I will gladly take 2 points out of Erie. Not a fun building to plan in. Also give create to Erie. They seem to be buying in to playing Butler hockey and that gives us fits. Our whole identity is based on carrying the puck into the zone with possession and their whole philosophy is to NOT let you carry the puck in at all. Had little blips where we got set up but for the most we were struggling to get established in the offensive zone. Thank god for that late man advantage. Misa seems to have a knack for scoring those timely goals. Can’t wait til he builds more chemistry with Christopolus.
