There's been a lot of talk about Zayne being suspended...so far nothing has been put on the media notes page and he is not in the lineup tonight but that's not surprising considering he would be traveling back from Moncton so he'd probably be out of the lineup anyway.
Some good news in the lineup though, looks like both Sapovaliv and Guo are back in the lineup so that's a great thing!
Also, I don't think they were paired this way to start the last game but they all ended up on the ice together scoring points, the starting lineup is Bloom-Beck-Christopolous. Would love to see Christopolous keep up the momentum from last game and score a bunch this week.
Willis and Sima are centered by Haight Misa and Mangone are centered by Sapovaliv Gervais and Castle are centered by Hay
The windsor games have been tough lately...hopefully we can go in there and thump them. It will be our first game facing Pasquale Zito in the lineup.

Parekh suspension is now listed on the OHL media page. It’s 2 games and he’s eligible to return on Sunday.

Guess I should have waited 15min hahahaha I had the media page open in my browser. When I read your game day thread post I went and refreshed the media page and Parekh’s suspension showed up. 😃😃

Happy to see Guo back so soon. I wasn't expecting him this quickly, but obviously it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Figured we'd see Sapy back sooner than later. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of his was protocol more than anything.
One of these days we'll finally have the whole team together. lol.

I actually think we will on Sunday...Parekh will be back and Forgione is probably going to be a healthy scratch most nights since Guo is our #5 dman and we've got Bishop who's played very well this year.

Saginaw only bothered showing up for about 20 minutes tonight, but I guess against a young team like Windsor that was all it took. The defense was atrocious tonight, IMO. Donovan had a brutal turnover in the defensive end that resulted in a goal, and in general just gave up way too many odd man rushes. Either way, 2 points is 2 points and now we're tied for first in the division with a better win percentage than the Soo.
Tanner Winegard went after Ethan Hay early in the first period, no doubt in retribution for what happened a couple of weeks ago. I don't think the fight went quite as well as Winegard was hoping, and I was surprised he didn't get an instigator for it.
Parekh's suspension was lighter than I thought it would be. In reality it only feels like a one game suspension because I doubt he would have played tonight regardless. Greentree didn't play for Windsor either. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for him, but I'm not holding my breath.

Agree on defense... I thought Oke made a ton of great saves during the first two periods just to keep us in it. Strange to say the goalie played well giving up 4 but he really did.
For some reason this Windsor team gives us fits... They play hard and now with Dinoso and Zito they should be able to compete most nights but they're really young. Announcers said it was the best they've played all year.
I thought Willis played really well last night creating opportunities and Bloom looks motivated to win a title. Good comeback win on the road.

The first 2 periods last night (especially the 2nd period) were reminiscent of how they played during the losing skid back in October. Just goes to show that no team in this league can be taken lightly. Reading on the Soo fan page that Kitchener will be missing 5 players due to injury and suspension this weekend. Kitchener is at Sault Ste Marie tonight before making their final regular season visit to Saginaw tomorrow night. A win or OT/SO loss gives the Spirit the season series.

With two wins this weekend we will likely move ahead of both Soo and Kitchener and should be no more than 2pts behind London assuming they win both. We could be tied with Soo on points but we have a game in hand.
