Only two games this week and only 5 to go in this regular season. Spirit are chasing a lot of milestones...Division, Conference, 50 wins, Overall #1...so there's plenty to play for but we could use a little help from the Soo if they can beat London on Friday night.
The magic number to win the Division is 5pts and as of now it will take wins in all 5 games (10pts) to win the Conference. My ideal scenario is that we win the next 4, London loses to Soo (or someone else) and then that final game against the Soo we can rest players before the playoffs.
It will be interesting to see what Lazary does with the goalies this week...Oke is going to be the man in the playoffs but Lalonde has been playing once a weekend. With only two games will he give Oke both or will he keep Lalonde active.
Still seems like Lazary has been moving lines around...it will be interesting if we see a set 1-2-3 line over these last two weeks leading into the playoffs. You always want to be flexible but at this point, you know who gels with who and it would be nice to see some clear cut lines.
Going to be a fun stretch run! Need to bring home 4pts from the road trip!!!

I watched last night's Flint/Soo game and I'm not sure if I feel like dealing with Flint in the first round again this year. Day looks like he's regained some of his form down the stretch. I didn't think the Hounds played all that well, but definitely rooting for them tomorrow.
Laz has constantly been mixing up the lines ever since the trade deadline. Gotta think he's doing it on purpose at this point to mess with the other team's scouting departments. I like it.

I just looked at some numbers and in the last 51 games we are 41-8-1...that's just awesome!

Storch, Willis, Forgione, and Glavin are tonight’s scratches in Guelph. Willis out with an upper body injury according to Dillon Clark on the radio pre game show. He did not even make the trip.

Massive comeback... Magic number for the division is now 1pt and we still control our own destiny for the conference

The Spirit win in overtime 5-4. Matyas Sapovaliv scores the tying goal with 4 seconds to go in regulation. Then Josh Bloom scores the game winner with just 11 seconds to go. These guys never quit.

Misa’s goal to cut the lead to 1 came with just 2:23 left in the 3rd period. Nice win but just shows that a first round series against Guelph, Flint, Owen Sound, or Erie will be no cake walk.

Disappointing weekend. Very fortunate to win last night. Got outplayed and lost to Erie tonight.
