Final week of the regular season is upon us and we're greeted with another 3in3. The disappointing loss to Erie gives London the driver's seat to win the conference so we'll have to hope the Spits or Storm can pull off an upset.
We still have a lot to play for...we're one point away from clinching the division and with 3 wins this week we'll hit 50 wins which is a HUGE accomplishment especially with how the season began. Even without the conference title, we need 3 strong games this week to go into the playoffs on a hot streak.

The Erie loss last week is still a tough pill to swallow a few days later, but there's plenty to play for. I will be shocked if London drops either of their games this week, but a division banner, 50 wins, and 100 points are still very nice prizes on the table. Looking for better efforts this weekend and tightening things up defensively heading into the playoffs.

Looks like it will likely be a sellout Saturday night. I went on Ticketmaster and there's like 6 tickets left and then Standing Room only...should be another fun atmosphere!

Just realized since there is post game jersey auctions on Saturday, that means an even later departure up to the Soo.
Oh well. Looking forward to seeing how everything falls into place this weekend, there is going to be some exciting first round matchups in the west.

I predict there will be at least 1 upset in the 1st round of the Western Conference playoffs. Let’s just hope and pray it doesn’t involve Saginaw.

Was at the game last night and if not for Sarnia's goalie it could have easily been 8-2 or 9-2. Game was nowhere near as close as the final score indicated and it didn't look like we were even trying that hard for a while (for better or for worse). The final few minutes were quite entertaining. A lot of the Sarnia players seemed excited over the prospect that one of their OAs was the last one remaining on the bench. I wonder if him coaching would have even been allowed.
Gonna be either Flint or Owen Sound in Round 1. I thought for a minute we were gonna get some help from Windsor last night in their game against London, but no such luck. I'm guessing the Soo will be resting pretty much all of their big names tomorrow. We'll see what happens.
Most importantly congrats to the team on the West Division title. I think that's 3 division titles in the past 5 years (not counting the covid year).

Final day of the regular season. Saginaw defeated Windsor 8-5 last night to give themselves a chance at the top overall seed. Sounds like the Hounds will be resting a few players today, but they were also off last night and we had a long bus ride. Guelph will also need to beat London in regulation today.
If Saginaw finishes second as they currently are, it'll be Owen Sound in Round 1. If Saginaw gets the top seed, it's another battle with Flint.

Regardless of what happens with London today I hope that the Spirit go out and send a message to the entire league that they are the team to beat and that Saginaw is a force to be reckoned with this year. 50 wins would be a huge achievement and if it wasn't for our slow start to the season, we could have challenged the all time win record.
Crazy that we're already at the end of the regular season but we still have a lot of games to play!

EDIT: 2-0 London
