I recall reading on MLive a while back that Oke was getting some contract offers. I think both Oke and LaLonde are both OAs next year (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Perhaps one might land on an ECHL team next year (similar to T-Bone Codd). Honestly wouldn't be surprised if both are back or if both are gone next year. Part of me thinks LaLonde will be back if Columbus thinks he could get more playing time here. They would both be eligible to play in the OHL as OAs. Very unlikely that Saginaw keeps 2 OA goaltenders.

Idk if adding more grit is an answer. Sometimes there isn’t a question. Can replay this series 9 more times and we win 4/5 of them. Nothing is guaranteed once you hit the conference finals. We could add that grit and still lose. Can do whatever. It’s still a coin flip. We played two championship quality teams and held our own against both. Have to take that knowledge into the memorial cup. We can beat them one game on home ice.

It's pretty rare for a goalie to get called up early unless they're amazing, as there just aren't that many spots available for them. They'll almost always be better off playing in the OHL versus opening and closing a door on the bench and charting faceoffs in the ECHL/AHL/NHL. That being said, I can't imagine a situation where we'd have two OA goaltenders at one time. It's a waste of an OA spot again, for someone to sit on the bench half the time. Not to mention, like half our team will be OAs next year, so if we're keeping people around, we're going to want those OA spots. I honestly have no clue what we do next year. Before the Memorial Cup bid, next year was the go for it year. That became this year with the Cup coming to town. Does that mean we have the blocks to try again next year? Or does that mean it's time to start another rebuild? We definitely threw it all in this year, so is there enough left to make a run again? I guess it depends on who comes back and who is interested in them, because like I said, we won't be able to keep them all.

The Spirit are taking a beating again on the London message board. Everything from attendance, despite a sell out last night, to their "poor playoff record", to the Sims suspension. There's just no pleasing those people. Is it Saginaw's fault that they had a tougher second round opponent in the Soo, while London had a much easier path to the conference finals?

My advice……don’t feed the trolls. Sault Ste Marie fans are still whining and crying too.

I have gone over the attendance issue ad nauseam on the HF board and here as well. The simple fact is corporate tickets. Right now I can still buy a ticket to most of these games on my wife's website. They buy up blocks of tickets and offer them to employees... most of whom could give a rats ass about the Memorial Cup. Maybe I should get into scalping!
