This is usually the first event where teams evaluate who they might bring to the WJC. This year’s event will be July 26-Aug 3rd in Plymouth. Participating countries will be the USA, Canada, Finland, and Sweden. USA announced their invites. Joey Willis was included. Think he has a decent shot to get a bottom 6 energy/pk role. Have to figure Parekh and Misa get invites from Canada. x.com/usahockey/status/1803820184987136161?s=46&t=2_-C_k26ecYNukF5cbW12w

Canada released their invites for WJC, U17, and Hlinka tournament. Parekh for the WJC, Zhilkin for the U17, and Misa for the Hlinka (U18). Misa is listed as invited but unable to attend. He didn’t seem 100% for a good portion of the season. May have had a lingering injury he was playing through and is taking the off-season to fully heal. www.hockeycanada.ca/en-ca/news/summer-camp-rosters-2024-25-poe

Willis with a goal and an assist through 2 games for USA Blue so far. Believe he even got some PP time.

I'll be down there Friday shooting Team Canada's game and probably will stick around for USA v. Sweden too.

Believe they are going to be resting any of the returnees so that new invitees get some time for the next game. Probably won't make real cuts until right before Saturday's game. For Canada, Parekh had 2 assists for team Red in a 4-3 win over team white last night.
