I can't listen to Eddie Olczyk when he does color on these TV broadcasts. He works for Versus and does other games as well. He is a big supporter of college hockey in general and especially the USHL Any time he can crowbar the USHL into the conversation, he will. I believe his son is going the USHL/college route. The best was a couple months ago when discussing the decisions kids have to make about either going to college or major junior, he said it depends on the what's best for the kid. But he did say that he believe that a playoff series between the Memorial Cup champ and the NCAA champ would be a great one since, "there really would be no difference between the two teams". Right, except for one point ... the Memorial Cup champs would be made up of 18 - 19 year olds, the NCAA champ would be 20 - 22 year olds.
