Mine was Jeff Pyle. I remember him scoring all the time it seemed. Archie Henderson must have been the guy I remember fighting all the time. I thought it was Pyle but his stats didn't show tons of PIM's. Marcel Como was another player I liked. Dennis, Panger and Eddie were others I always liked too.

Without a doubt, Bob Froese. He was the reason that as a kid I wanted to grow up and be an NHL goaltender. Didn't quite turn out that way but I can remember idolizing him while he was in Saginaw. I had a mask like his and everything. I managed to track him down about a year or so ago. He's a pastor in New York state now and still a great guy. He was kind enough to send me a signed photo from his days with the Flyers. Very cool!

We could be adding Tom Pyatt and Patrick Mc'Neill to this list about a year from now. Unless circumstances change dramatically, I would expect both of these guys to be playing pro hockey in the 07-08 season.

I wondered what ever happened to Peter Horachek so I looked him up and to my suprise he is actually assistant coach of the Nashville Predators.

Alot of favorites from the past! Right from the top,J.D. Eaton,Jamey Hicks,Jason Renard,Mark Green,Keith Osborne,Ed Belfour and Dave Van Drunen! J.D. was probably the nicest Guy I met! Took Jason Renard to hospital one night, that was a treat! Had dinner with Mark Green a few times,He threw Me a stick over the HIGH glass at a Lumber Kings game in QUAD CITY when We were there for a bus trip! He is gone now! I still hurt about that! Seen Keith play in Ohio, miss Him,not sure where He is now! Belfour gave Me a stick that I'll always cherish and last but not least Dave Van Drunen! Still remains maybe the BEST defense-man out of Saginaw! Is in UHL but belongs HIGHER than that! He is one of the BEST! J.D. still # 1

I am going to have to go with Jesse Gimblett. He was a tough player that would not back down, and always stood up for his teammates. His goal scoring and assists were also up there as well.

So is it now time to add both of these guys to the "All Time Favorites to Ever Play in Saginaw" list?? They are both on my list.
