Can anyone name the only player who was raised in Saginaw to ever win a Memorial Cup?

Matt Hoffman! Born July 6, 1971 in Saginaw, MI. Won the Memorial Cup with the Oshawa Generals during the 1990-91 season. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 1991 NHL Draft, but never made it to the show. He did, however, manage to play two games for the UHL's version of the Saginaw Gears during the 98-99 season. For more info, go here: www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=2316

Great job BP! Hoffman was Eric Lindros' winger that season. He's apparently living in the Oshawa area coaching minor hockey.

Ahh, but you missed is movie career, I read somewhere that he played one of the on-ice pittsburgh penguins in the movie "sudden death" when he was with the Johnstown Chiefs
