As of right now Goody, or as I like to call him, Butterball has only 2 penalty minutes in Ottawa's first round playoff series.
MacDonell, as I see it, is playing very steadily in Kitchener's series despite being down 2 games to 1 against Plymouth. He has 1 assist and is a plus 3 with 4 penalty minutes.
And our good friend Geoff Platt is playing very well. Even with 3 goals, including a game winner in overtime, his most impressive feat is being a plus 2. He also has 8 penalty minutes and has been the 1st star and 2nd star in games 1 and 2 respectively.
Hey, I gotta have SOME reason to be entertained by the OHL playoffs without the Spirit being in there.

Actually, Nick Lee's team (Reading Royals) played against Peter Flache's team (Toledo Storm) last week (3/17/04). Royals Won!!!! Peter played for Spirit last year.

Mr. Platt had another huge game in Erie's win last night. 2 goals, including the GW. He was also plus 1 and had 2 penalty minutes.
Goodnough did absolutely nothing in Ottawa's game. Suprised? Neither am I.
Who is everyone rooting for because obviously we can't root for our Spirit?

With all that's been transpiring lately it's even harder to watch former players succeed. Especially as well as Platt. Another 2 point game, 1G 1A and +2! He earned the second star in Erie's win. One more game and they come out of that series victorious.

Erie's season is over and as an Erie resident i could follow Platt at every home game in person (and on the radio on away games) and since the trade he has showed that he isnt the Brad Bonnello type player. One who dives cheats and gets dumb penalties. Platt ahs been one of the reasons that we made it as far as we did and I can't wait till next year to watch him. Even though I would much rather have Sean Courtney here I will show my respect to Platt and I will update everyone on his big performances next year if any one wants them.
