For those Spirit fans who are still interested in former players, Nick Lees has left the Dayton Bombers (ECHL) and signed with the Port Huron Beacons (UHL). Nick made his debut last night, scoring two goals and adding an assist in a 5-3 Beacons' loss. Port Huron plays at home tonight against the Motor City Mechanics at McMorran Arena. Since the Spirit are on the road, it's only a short trip (90 minutes or so) to see Nick play, if anyone is interested.
I tried to post this on the new board, but had posting problems. If anyone can post the information there, that would be great. Also, the Port Huron Times Herald did a nice story about Nick's tough trip trying to get to Port Huron for his first game. Funny story. Check that out on the Times Herald web site.
