Nick Lees has recovered from mono, but he is not going back to the Port Huron Beacons, he is staying in Peterborough for the remainder of this season, going to College and playing in a mens senior A league, for a team "Norwood Vipers." Best of Luck Nick

It not that things have gone south.
I am hearing Nick wants to go to school, so for now this is it.
He was real sick with the Mono also, it really sapped him.
He never got any breaks after he finished with the Spirit either, with the NHL lockout each team had half dozen players from the next level, so more guys fighting for jobs. He has never been a fast starter in any team or league either.
I think he told Dayton that he wanted to play not sit on the bench, then one thing lead to another, then the second game with Port Huron he gets decked, then gets Mono as he his recovering.
The OHL is on the hock for some heavy school expenses , so go to school get a education, play university hockey for 4-5 years, then see.
Who knows. I wish him all the best, and thank him for the memories with the Spirirt.
