Chris Thorburn finally got his call-up to the Buffalo Sabres! Way to go Chris! That's 2 ex-Spirit players this week making NHL debuts!

Thanks for that link! I was watching the game - it was fun to see him play again. Too bad he didn't fare too well in the fight! He didn't get pounded, but McCormick landed a couple more quality shots there. Throburn got in a few good ones early. Nice to see Chris not afraid to take on an NHL fighter, tho!
On a side note, it was nice to see Chris get his 1st NHL point (an assist) last night as well!

Chris was called back up to Buffalo over the weekend & should be playing tonight! Nice to see him back up with the big club after only getting a short look last time! Hope he makes the most of it. I see him as a better long-term NHLer than Platt, but I hope Platt makes it back up to the NHL again soon, tho, too.
