All im saying is that Z played 80 minutes last year ... I dont see that as an oppurtunity ... Aaron Rock got more minutes then he did before Daniels came in and Aaron was deemed incapable. If Lepera was going to play a game in the OHL and lose his eligibility .. Z should of played as many minutes as possible in exhibition and Lepera should of backed him up so that we could dress our OA's. If Daniels isnt back for regular season I would be interested to see whos going to play because we need our OA players in the line up Z only played 80 minutes because he isn't very good and the coaching staff did not have any confidence in him. This isn't charity. You have to earn your time on the ice and Z didn't. Not sure what your point is about Lepera. What "eligibility" are you talking about? NCAA? That's already gone my friend. Z got two good chances in exibition play and failed badly. Lepera got one chance and was very solid. Just so you know, Z backed up Lepera so we did have three overagers on the ice. Your kidding about Daniels right? Do you really thing Ryan is ready for the NHL? You do know that the only way he isn't back with the Spirit this season is if he makes the NHL team don't you. Or were you talking about him being traded? Do you think the GM and coaching staff would trade Daniels without a plan for the goaltending position? I am sure they will have a plan, and I am equally sure that plan will not include Z, Sorry to disappoint you.

Have you had one positive post about any player on this hockey team or are you just going to keep listening to the biased opinions of hometown fans on the NOOF from Shanghai and form your own and bash our own players? I'll bet if you go back and look at my nearly 1500 posts on this board as well as the 2800+ posts I have made on the NOOF you will find at least a few positive comments about the players and this team. Before you go spouting off about me as a fan and supporter of this team I have been a season ticket holder every season of this team's existence, including this season. That's right, I renewed 2 of my 3 seats for this season and donated them to the Spirit Foundation even though I am here in Shanghai, China. I intend to do the same thing for the next several seasons until I return to Midland from my expat assignment. Now with that out of the way I'll address your specific criticism of me and my post in this thread. Where in my post did I bash Zelenbaba?? I asked the Spirit fans in attendance at the JLC on Saturday if in fact they felt he had let in a few soft goals as reported by a London NOOFer. I also asked if the Spirit fans in attendance in Woodstock felt Lepera was as good as stated. I then asked the Spirit fans who saw both games if they felt "Z" might have played himself off the team. If you consider that "bashing" so be it. Your definition of "bashing" and mine are obviously quite different so we will have to "agree to disagree" on this one. However, it looks like the others who have posted in response to my original comment are tending to side with me and not you so I guess you can take that for what its worth.

This article from the London Free Press indicates that Jason McDonough is facing a mandatory one game suspension for a slew foot. johnt, BPFox, anyone else who attended...did you see it?? Any comments??[/quote] I did not see the alleged slew foot take place. Jason and were tied up in front of the London net. I then watched the play move up ice. Next thing I remember is the two guys being tangled up again by the face-off dot. Jason received a match penalty, which I understand means automatic review by the league for possible suspension. Article also sez Berard ran the London goalie. The way I saw it, Ryan was headed for the net, but being tied up by a Knights' defenceman Both more-or-less crashed into the goalie (who was injured on the play). Ryan got two minutes for goaltender interference. The way I saw it, the defenceman should have received some type of obstruction penalty (holding, hooking).
