Doug Weight, Michal Birner & a 7th rounder to Anaheim, and St. Louis gets Andy McDonald in return. Will this be a move to help Birner get into the NHL (and play alongside former Spirit player Geoff Platt - who Anaheim seems to LOVE!)? I doubt it, but you never know.

Birner had the game winner for the Portland Pirates in double OT last night to beat the Hartford Wolf Pack 3-2. (Tom Pyatt and Tomas Zaborsky's team, although neither played). The win evens the first round Calder Cup series at 1 apiece.
