Paul had the Gordie Howe hat trick and was first star for Wheeling in last night's 5-3 win over Tyler Haskins and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The Wheeling team must be pretty entertaining. Old buddy Gino Pisellini plays for them (presently on 7 game suspension) as does the younger brother of The Boogerman, Derek Boogaard of the Wild (also presently on suspension, 3 games)

Biss has actually climbed back into the Top 20 of Pittsburgh's prospects, a definite surprise since both he and the organization were ready to call it quits w/ each other at the beginning of the season.

Paul has pretty much changed his total style of play - he is now a forward & is a league tough guy in the AHL, and is dropping them on occassion while in the NHL with Pittsburgh. 15 AHL fights this season so far, and another 7 in the NHL (including pre season & regular season). 26 AHL scraps last year in only 46 games, and another 6 fights in the ECHL.

paul is doing exactly what he has to do to get noticed and its working. fighting is a way to get your foot in the door so to speak. he has the skill to be much more, and eventually he will show that.

Paul was sent back down to the minors today. All star break - he will probably be back in Pittsburgh right after the break since Pittsburgh has all the injuries right now.

Word out of Pittsburg is that Biss has about a 50-50 chance of sticking out of camp. But even if he doesn't, he's come a long ways in that organization in the last few years, and management appears to notice and appreciate it.

Paul Bissonnette @biznasty2point0
Free Agent. I'd feel better about it if I worked the half wall and scored 30. Oh well.
