Dancers

They said something Saturday night about the "Sammy" awards. I think it has something to do with the best fan dancer. My first choice would be Disco Stu, althought Saturday night when they put him on the jumbo he didn't dance. (note to Stu, you can't win if you don't dance!) ;D I tried searching their website for more info but couldn't find anything.

1. I was sitting down because play was about to begin again. We had just scored a goal. However, if I was shown on the screen 10 seconds prior, you would have seen something. Dancing does not only occur on the big screen.

2. Bad-White-Dude-Dancing is not "best dancer" material. My vote is for the girl in section 12 who whips her hair around.

3. I am not in this to win awards. My appearance is really designed to wear at road games, because I have discovered that people dressed like cartoon characters are much more approachable than some dude at the game. I just happen to dress up goofy at select home games because if at least one person can smile at the goof-off, I've done my job. Saturday night was my 250th OHL game, so it was a special occasion. However, you probably won't see it again until the playoffs.

Well, you still got my vote. It was kind of funny Wednesday night, my son is used to seeing you dancing or walking around in your .....hairpiece and when we went into the Blue Line Club you were reading a book. Ruined his whole image of you. lol Next time I see you I'll say Hi! Go Spirit!

Don't worry, I did a little ballot boc stuffing to aid the cause. I don't think a lot of people were voting. But the girl at the booth was kind of funny. When I put down "Disco Stu" she asked me, "Is that the guy with the wig?". When I told her yes, she said "He's my favorite too". Just too funny. Peace.

Hey, speaking of dancers, what happened to the Spirit dance team? They haven't been at any games (that I've been to) in weeks. What gives? It's not a huge loss, but they were entertaining during the intermissions.

Why in the WORLD would I have looked in that board for a thread about the spirit dancers??? haha. Anyway, thanks for the info. I thought maybe it was due to the new, colder dow event center...thought maybe they were poking people's eyes out. :-P
