This is merely speculative on my part but here goes. There is a thread on the NOOF with a link to an article regarding Pat Kane potentially foregoing the NCAA and joining the London Knights. That same article www.cstv.com/sports/m-hockey/stories/081106aad.html mentions that Phil Kessel is considering the possibility of signing a pro contract with the Boston Bruins organization rather than return to the University of Minnesota for his sophomore season. If this were to happen he obviously loses his NCAA eligibility and given his age, he could only play 2 places......Boston (NHL) or you guessed it, Saginaw!! The AHL, ECHL, etc. would not be an option under the CBA. Interesting to at least ponder this possibility, isn't it??

I started this same thread on the NOOF and there have been many comments about this. If your interested in seeing what fans around the OHL think about this, here is a link to that thread. www.rinkratmag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18509
