Make it 5 straight losses for the Loons as they were beaten by the Peoria Chiefs 4-2 tonight at Dow Diamond. The Loons are 0-3 at the Dow Diamond. Let's hope the "home cooking" gets a little better since they play their next 7 games at home.

They'll be fine. The best thing about this league is that at the half way point, the wipe the records clean and every team in the league starts over with a 0-0 record, so it is almost like another opening day.
Lance has to watch his comments on the umpiring in the league. He was on the short end of a lot of calls during the Lansing series, but those calls didn't cost him the game. The problem is that he has been around major league baseball for so long that now that he is in a league that is a development league for players and umpires, he doesn't know how to handle it. I'm afraid the story that ran in the BC Times today may get him a couple of games off.

Here is a link to the Bay City Times story: www.mlive.com/sports/bctimes/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1176909367319780.xml&coll=4I see what you mean regarding the potential for Parrish to get some discipline from the league commissioner.
