I have gone to about 10-12 games this year, and they one 1 of them. It used to be fun just being there, win or not, but now it's just plain boring. At least in hockey if they lose all the time it's still fun and exciting. They better start something next year, or the team wont last. What does anybody else think about this so called team?

It has been a rough year for the Loons, no question, but if you are going to a Loons game and expect them to play like a Midwest League Championship means anything, then maybe you should spend your money else where. Every year brings a brand new group of kids. One year, the team will be very bad, the next year, they could win a championship, but it doesn't matter either way. What you have seen from the Loons this year are two or three players that one day will don the Dodger blue (Kershaw for sure and possibly Josh Bell). You have seen a Gorkys Hernandez from West Michigan who will be a future Tiger outfielder. A Travis Snider who is a first round pick of the Blue Jays and will be a very good MLB player.
The problem at this level is you are seeing a vast difference in draft philosophies. The Loons are full of 19 to 21 year old kids which for the most part were drafted out of high school. They are playing against guys on a lot of teams that are 23, 24 or 25 and have been playing for a few years depending on the team they are playing on a given night. Like I said, it is just hit and miss.
I can't guarantee what will happen next season, but I will say that the Dodgers / Loons should be much better next season. If they aren't, then it wouldn't surprise me if the Loons were affiliated with another MLB team at the start of the 2009 season.
