After making some noise during spring training and competing for the 5th spot in the Dodgers starting rotation, Kershaw is starting the season back down in AA with Jacksonville. Hopefully he can make it up to "the show" in the not too distant future.

Kershaw is more than likely on stand by to make it to LA. He almost certainly will pitch for the Dodgers this season. I know he had the 0.64 ERA in spring training for the Dodgers and made it a tough decision, but I think that it was the right one for his development.

Heard in a radio interview they put Kershaw in AA in order to "ease" him into the season and hopefully keep his confidence up, rather than risking him getting shelled early on in AAA or the big leagues and hurting is confidence. Good call in my opinion. He's one heck of a prospect and no need to rush him.
By the way, the Loons won their season opener tonight 5-2 (I think) over the Dayton Dragons at the Dow Diamond.
