The Great Lakes Loons dropped 2 out of of 3 games to the West Michigan Whitecaps (game 4 was rained out) and have dropped 2 straight to the Burlington Bees on their current road trip. The final game of their 3 game series with the Bees is Sunday afternoon. The Loons are now 1 game under 0.500 with a record of 4-5.

It's true that the Loons have struggled on the road, but the honest truth is that they are in the same division as Fort Wayne and South Bend and those two teams are absolutely dreadful. I cover the Lugnuts a little bit and had a chance to see them both. The Loons will be fine. The trip out west is always a rough one.

The Great Lakes Loons shut out the Burlington Bees 1-0 in the final game of the 3 game series at Burlington, IA. The win moves the Loons back to 0.500 with a record of 5-5.
