Um, guys, there's a game tonight. haha.
So tonight our "very own" Saginaw Spirit head to Sault Ste Marie for the second meeting of the season with the Soo Greyhounds. The Soo have been good so far, winning all three of their games this season so far, including a win against us opening night. We've got Daniels back tonight, what do you think our chances are? Can we put a mark in their loss column tonight?

They had hockey in 1007?  Tonight is a big game and an early season test to see where we are. I will like our chances better with Daniels in net tonight and not Perron like we did on opening night, but that doesn't guaruntee a win. Even though it's still early in the season, I think the Spirit can send a big message to the rest of the league with a win tonight that we're not going to be the bottom feeders that others seem to think we'll be this year. There, is that better?  I agree tonight is important in that we can really show the rest of the league that we are a force to be reckoned with if we can take the Soo tonight. On a side note, how weird is it to look at the OHL standings and see Sault Ste Marie up top and Plymouth on the bottom? Crazy what a year will do. |

1-0 Hounds...Godfrey with a missle on a 5-on-3 powerplay. Boy doesn't that sound familiar lol. Sounded like the Spirit dominated the first 15 minutes or so but then got into penalty trouble.

End of the first period...1-0 Hounds. Shots 12-10 for the Spirit. Well it's a big improvement over the last time we played them lol.

I wish the OHL would hurry up & update the scoresheet. 3rd period is about to start & it still says it's 1-0 Soo (after 1). No stats from the 2nd. Dang. Get on the ball OHL!
