A rumor I heard last week is Combs may be playing in the AHL, anyone else heard this?

I haven't heard anything. What team(s) is he rumored to be possibly signing with??
I saw where he has a free agent invite to the Colorado Avalanche training camp.

He is being looked at by the Edmonton Oilers because of the Bob Mancini connection. I believe he is talented enough to play in the AHL but (unfortunately for him) I expect him to play for the Spirit this season.

Jaaaack is a goal scorer and there is always room for goal scorers on anyone's team. That said, his skating is what is going to hold him back and will likely be the reason he is back in Spirit Land for an OA season. |

I heard of a team but it was not an affiliate of the Oilers. Also yes he does have world class hands and his skating is suspect I still thing he plays pro this year but I think its in the ECHL.

Combs will be in camp for the Spirit .. however he plans on leaving for the Colorado Avalanche main camp and then plans on attending the Lake Erie camp for the AHL which is Colorados farm team.
I believe he is just using the Spirit Camp as a tune up for his upcoming pro camps
