what are these off ice things that are being talked about...did anyone in the media recognize that there were 7 goals, 6 fights, a victory and a hard working team that isn't going to back down to anyone? Oh wait, the activites of unpaid interns gets the beginning of the article...someone explain to me what the deal is please!

It is bizarre. But so is the Shark.
What is he referencing off-ice that was so disappointing? I didn't even get there until 3 minutes into the game....
Anyone know?

The communication between the PA announcer, official scorer and guys at ice level went out. That is why the PA announcer was calling for building maintenance during the game. In the BLC before the game I could have sworn that GG said there would be a 10 minute special laser light show before the game, I did not see it, I could have missed it, anyone? Also no TVs in the BLC during or before the game.

I got there late too, so no idea about the laser light show - although my brother-in-law was there earlier than me & said he didn't see one. I doubt anyone is too broken up over that tho. If you want laser lights, you can always catch a Def Leppard video on VH! Classic. You don't see too many laser light shows (outside of the planetariums) nowadays...
Anyway, the communication going out baffles me - couldn't they use walkie talkie's as a back up? Or at least cell phones? Seems weird that there's no back up plan in place.
Anyway, nothing Earth shattering in my opinion. The ice was there, no reported problems with that, the game played without a hitch, so I say all in all, a good night.

Does anybody know why London didn't come out on the ice for the national anthem? Maybe that's one of the "glitches"? By the way did anybody see one of the referee fall while warming up when he skated into the carpet at center ice?

The Constantine clone in the BC Times said that one of the glitches was the laser show coming on again during play in the second period. I didn't see that one either, so I guess I missed them both..........

ok, so the phones didn't work...is that really the lead story from the game last night? That guy's an idiot and personally I believe that there are many people that don't go to the games because of what he writes. Since the games aren't on TV for people to form their own opinion, i just don't think that it's fair to Saginaw to have a hockey team of kids that work their tails off and a writer that doesn't respect that. Horsecrap!

Horsecrap! My sentiments exactly. Figured for sure that the main core of the story would be how Saginaw showed the quickness, heart, hitting, and desire that we expect from a Watson-coached team, but alas along comes another slam on them via the game-day staff. Now if he really wanted to be miffed about something, he should have gone after the price of beer per ounce..shesh! ;D

Very unfair to the gameday staff, also, as a LOT of them are new and that was their first game. Seriously, the guy in the Times was worse than MC. The first paragraph said good start. The last paragraph said the important thing was the team won. In between was all MC's stuff plus more. I am no longer quite as happy that the Times had a big writeup on the game. But the picture was still good.

He's a great guy, I wish he would! Just FYI.

I figured. The Times goes crazy covering the Loons. (which is fine) but will go a week or two without mentioning the Spirit. I hadn't heard about any new editors, so I figured they must just have had a slow news day. (sigh)
